En el ámbito de la investigación de la escena del crimen, tiene una gran relevancia en el análisis y clasificación de huellas de pisadas. Las huellas de pisadas son una fuente de información valiosa que puede utilizarse para identificar a los sospechosos de un delito, reconstruir la escena del crimen o apor- tar pruebas en un juicio. El análisis de huellas de pisadas requiere de conocimien- tos especializados en podología, ya que las huellas plantares son únicas para cada persona. Permite identificar a los sospechosos de un delito. Es importante su pre- sencia en el ámbito de la cadena de custodia ya que los podólogos forenses deben ac- tuar y garantizar que las huellas de pisadas se recojan, conserven y transporten de forma adecuada para que no se pierdan ni se alteren. | ||
