In drei Schritten der Aneignung führen die erlernten Erzählfiguren die Interviewten zu Formen (selbst)entfremdender Subjektivierung. Als zentrales wie komplexes Spannungsfeld in den Erzählungen entfaltet sich dabei besonders das Verhältnis zwischen einer Intimisierung öffentlicher Zusammenhänge bei oftmals gleichzeitiger Dominanz öffentlicher Inhalte für die Konstruktion von Privatheit. | ||
| 520 | |a This article aims to show the consequences that contact with therapy settings in a psychological frame and/or supervision has for people’s biographical narratives. To this end, it references the sociology of knowledge to offer an interpretive approach to mental disorders based on empirical analyses of interviews with help-seekers. The analysis shows that interviewees acquire therapy narratives in three steps that lead to (self-) alienated forms of self-perception as well as self-presentation. In these three steps, the complex and hard-fought relationship between public and private ideas of the self are of central relevance for therapy narratives. At the center of these stories, we can find the intimization of public relations and, at the same time, the simultaneous dominance of public content for the construction of privacy. | ||
