Zusammenfassung: | Community building circles are a core practice of school-based restorative practices (RP). This multi-stakeholder mixed methods study explored virtual RP community building circles implementation during remote learning from district staff and students in grades 3–12 in the first months (May 2020) and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic throughout the 2020–2021 school year. A survey among students and district staff was administered in May 2020 and May 2021. Descriptive statistics and bivariate analyses were conducted. District staff reported more positive experiences with virtual RP circles in 2020 compared to May 2021. Elementary students participated more frequently and had more positive attitudes towards virtual RP circles compared to middle and high school students. There was varied implementation of virtual RP circles during remote learning across grades. |
