| Sumario: | This paper deals with the institution of restorative justice as a strategy for repairing the damage caused by crime, whose implementation is a challenge at a politicalcriminal level as it brings together the interests of victims, offenders and the community in the same process. In this sense, the evolution of restorative justice will be analysed from a legal perspective through studying the main supranational and domestic texts related to this subject. Thus, this literature review will focus on the critical analysis of the two most relevant regulations in Spain with regarding criminal reparation of victims, namely, on the one hand, Law 4/2015, of 27 April, on the Statute of the Victim of Crime, and on the other, the Draft Bill of the Criminal Procedure Act of 2020. |
