| Zusammenfassung: | The text deals with the French Police System crisis making references to the different ways of acting of the National Police and the National Guard by defining the areas of activities of each one. Under the context of the European unification, the author shows the development of the private security services and the disputes between them and those ones supported by the government. The text also shows that the specificities of the modern time as the drug traffic and terrorism demand for specific police action. This specificity, however, cannot mean to leave the daily civil security.O autor trata da crise do sistema policial francês, referindo-se às diferenças de atuação da Polícia Nacional e da Guarda Nacional e definindo as áreas de atuação de cada uma delas. Dentro do contexto da unificação européia, o autor mostra o crescimento dos serviços de segurança privada e os limites/concorrências entre estes e o sistemas mantidos pelo governo. Demonstra, também, que as especificidades do momento presente (narcotráfico, terrorismo) exigem da ação policial meios específicos, sem, contudo, descuidar da segurança civil cotidiana
