Una vez establecido sus orígenes en el campo de la sociología, se presentará la evolución jurídica del feminicidio: desde su carácter meramente conceptual, hasta la consagración del mismo como un delito autónomo en la legislación colombiana. Finalmente, se analizará a partir de cifras presentadas por la Fiscalía General de la Nación, el Observatorio Feminicidios de Colombia, y el Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses, la realidad colombiana del feminicidio como forma extrema de violencia contra las mujeres, además de la impunidad que tiende a caracterizar a este delito, que a menudo se deriva de un sistema judicial misógino y machista. | ||

Once established its origins in the field of sociology, the evolution of femicide will be presented from its merely conceptual definition to its full sanction as an autonomous crime in Colombian law. Finally, based on numbers provided by the Attorney General's Office, the Feminicide Observatory of Colombia, and the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, the Colombian reality of feminicide will be analysed as an extreme form of violence against women, characterised by an impunity which oftentimes derives from a misogynistic and sexist judiciary system. | ||
