Description
Summary:Our introduction to this special issue explains the background of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and the civil society panels in which these articles were originally presented during CSW66. The articles included are all examples of international feminist criminology, They analyze national and global issues related to women in prison, women in the judiciary and policing, women activists and women victims/survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. Our effort in editing this special issue is to connect academic research to the work of United Nations policymakers.
