Summary:El presente estudio tiene por objeto explorar los efectos de la salud mental y el crecimiento postraumático en función del género y hechos victimizantes sufridos en el marco del conflicto armado colombiano. Los participantes fueron 519 víctimas del conflicto con edades entre 18 y 80 años (M=37.22; DT=13.65), el 57.8% de la muestra eran mujeres. Los resultados más relevantes son: propiedades psicométricas similares a las encontradas en estudios en otros países; diferencias estadísticamente significativas en cuanto al hecho victimizante en la salud mental de las víctimas; y, se evidenció un cambio moderado en el crecimiento postraumático.The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of mental health and post-traumatic growth according to gender and victimizing events suffered in the framework of the Colombian armed conflict. Participants were 519 victims of armed conflict aged 18-80 years old (M = 37.22, SD = 13.65), the 57.8% of the sample were women. The most relevant results are: psychometric properties similar to those found in studies in other countries; statistically significant differences as to the victimizing fact in the mental health of the victims; and, a moderate change in post-traumatic growth was evidenced.
