The data set contains one variable per year for each of the following items: total general expenditures, expenditure for police protection, deflated general expenditures adjusted for inflation, deflated police expenditures adjusted for inflation, residential population, land area, patterns of population change during the study period, government identification, and implicit price deflators of goods and services.
