Ausgehend von der US-amerikanischen Debatte um den "Tod abweichenden Verhaltens" werden hier die zentralen Argumente und Entwicklungslinien des Konzepts der Devianz vorgestellt und die begrifflichen Neuschöpfungen einer kritischen Analyse unterzogen. Die grundlegende Hypothese ist dabei, dass Normativität und damit abweichendes Verhalten auch der Thematisierung von Risiko und Risikoverhalten zugrunde liegt. Zwar lassen sich neue Formen der gesellschaftlichen Regulation und der sozialen Ordnungsbildung feststellen, die aber als Institutionen des gesellschaftlichen Umgangs mit unerwünschtem oder störendem Verhalten durchaus in der Perspektive von Normativität und Devianz zu interpretieren sind. | ||

Starting with the US-American debate on the "death of deviance", central arguments and developments of the concept of deviance will be presented and the meaning of the new concepts will be analyzed. The basic hypothesis in this discussion is that normativity and deviance are also behind the new concepts. lt is true that we can find many new forms of social regulation and of building social order, but as institutions of dealing with undesirable or disturbing behaviour they have to be interpreted within the perspective of normativity and deviance. | ||
