Summary: | The second Stockholm Criminology Symposium was organised in Stockholm 4-6 June in 2007. The European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control affiliated with the United Nations (HEUNI) organised a number of workshops in the conference programme, including sessions on victimisation surveys. The topic of the safety of the citizens has become increasingly popular, and new interest groups have entered the field. Consequently, there is an increasing need of victimisation surveys that provide adequate, up-to-date and also internationally comparable information on the topic. |
