The attack of September 11 was a classic act of terrorism, though its historical dimensions were unique. The intermediary context, in which the terrorist attack developed and of which the terrorists were part, seems to be the actually new dimension. lt is the context of the 'New Wars 'or 'Privatized Wars '. Their goals are defined by identity politics and (again) establish war as a way of life dominated by group solidarity, honor and respect.
