Based on extensive original ethnographical research, this book looks at the situation of asylum seekers in Hong Kong and offers a narrative of experiences related to the rise of global cities; internal and external borders; and the performance of border-crossing and asylum politics.Hong Kong remains a city with no comprehensive legislation for refugee claims and maintains that the city would be flooded with abusive claims if changes were implemented.
