AB Der folgende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit dem Phänomen des Vigilantismus während der Londoner Unruhen im August 2011. Nach einer kurzen theoretischen Einführung und Darstellung der Hintergründe der „riots“ setzt er sich konzeptionell mit dem Thema Vigilantismus auseinander.
AB This article examines the vigilante phenomenon during the London riots of August 2011. After a brief theoretical introduction, the vigilante activities are situated with - in the larger context of the riots. The article then engages critically with the question of how to conceptualize vigilantism.
