Weniger kriminalpolitisch-ergebnis- als konfliktorientiert schreibt Cultural Criminology sich damit nicht nur auf die Fahnen, den Marginalisierten Gehör zu verschaffen. Auch soll mittels der Belebung und Erneuerung devianzsoziologischer Ansätze der 60er und 70er Jahre der ‚langweiligen’ Mainstream-Kriminologie der Kampf angesagt werden. Die Stärke dieses Ansatzes liegt jedoch derzeit eher in seinem Potential denn in seiner tatsächlichen wissenschaftlichen Praxis. Dies soll im Folgenden in sechs Punkten herausgearbeitet werden. | ||
| 520 | |a Since the middle of the 1990s Cultural Criminology circulates as an alternative draft to the traditional concepts of criminology. As a results of this turn-about in the perspective, offenders nowadays get treated much more „affirmatively” than ever before, and there exists a tendency to find the handling of political authorities lacking in reasonable legitimation and at the same time to concede legitimation to ‘criminals’. In this process wrongdoers’ criminal behaviour gets watered down. Being rather conflict oriented than policing oriented, Cultural Criminology tries to give the marginalized a voice. With the help of the revitalization and the renewal of the beginnings of the idea of social deviance from the 60s and 70s the ‘boring’ mainstream-criminology should be brought to a fall. The strength of this approach lies at the moment more in its potential as in its actual scientific practice. This will be carefully considered in the following six points. | ||
