LA English YR 2024 UL https://krimdok.uni-tuebingen.de/Record/1942607393 AB This research draws upon the premise that Buss-Perry aggression might play an important role in shaping workplace deviance, specifically time theft and theft climate, and explores the moderating roles of bystander intervention and procedural justice. Conducted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the study seeks to deepen the understanding of how individual aggression interacts with organizational factors to shape the ethical and deviant behaviors at the workplace. A cross-sectional design was adopted with data collected from 247 employees working in various organisations across KSA. Validated scales measured Buss-Perry aggression, theft climate, time theft, bystander intervention, and procedural justice. Reliability and validity of constructs as well as the hypothesized relationships were evaluated through SEM by employing ADANCO. The findings suggest that Buss-Perry aggression significantly predicts both theft climate and time theft. Such relationships were found to be moderated in the direction of mitigating the bad influence of aggression on workplace deviance by bystander intervention and procedural justice. The findings highlight the crucial role of individual traits and workplace behaviors in organizational contexts. This research contributes to the literature by integrating psychological and organizational perspectives, leading to actionable insights on managing aggression-driven workplace deviance. It underlines the importance of cultivating ethical vigilance through bystander intervention and procedural justice to cultivate ethical workplace cultures.
