The findings of semi-structured interviews identified five main themes and two subthemes regarding experiences perceived as helpful throughout their educational and professional trajectories. The findings are relevant for CACREP-accredited counselor education programs and the profession. Recommendations are reviewed, along with suggestions to enhance counselors' readiness to meet the growing demand.
