Few have considered how these online markets facilitate the sale of counterfeit currencies for use in offline environments. The current study attempted to address this gap in the literature through a qualitative crime script analysis of counterfeit currency vendors operating on both the Open and Dark Web to understand the ways vendors advertise, actualize, and exit these transactions. The implications of this analysis for our understanding of the acquisition processes of facilitatory products are explored in detail. | ||
