This research emphasises the significance of integrating psychological interventions into the rehabilitation process, focusing on the potential for cognitive restructuring and holistic reform of offenders. Utilising pre- and post- assessment methodologies, the study explores how psychological treatment can enhance offenders' readiness for rehabilitation and which may reduce recidivism. Data collected from 88 participants reveal significant improvements in Violence Treatment Readiness following structured psychological interventions. The findings suggest that fostering a positive therapeutic environment and addressing individual criminogenic needs are essential for promoting meaningful change in offenders. This study aims to contribute to the existing literature on offender rehabilitation in India, advocating for the incorporation of scientifically validated psychological methods as a fundamental component of correctional efforts in prisons. Through these insights, the study seeks to inform policy and practice aimed at reducing recidivism and improving overall outcomes for violent offenders. | ||
