AB Dieser Beitrag schließt an den Befund an, dass die Kriminalsoziologie innerhalb des deutschen Hochschulsystems marginalisiert ist. Zunächst erfolgt eine Abgrenzung der Kriminalsoziologie von verwandten Gebieten, anschließend wird durch die empirische Analyse der Internetauftritte deutscher Hochschulen der Frage nachgegangen, wie der Schwerpunktbereich Kriminalsoziologie aktuell innerhalb der Soziologie institutionell eingebunden ist. Die Bestandsaufnahme ergibt nur noch einen Lehrstuhl für Kriminalsoziologie an der Universität Hamburg. An weiteren Hochschulen gibt es den Bereich im Rahmen von Lehre oder Forschung. Das Ergebnis wird im Hinblick auf den Stellenwert der Kriminalsoziologie innerhalb der Lehre und Forschung im Hochschulbereich eingeordnet.
AB This paper follows up on the indication that sociology of crime has but a marginalized role within German universities. The scope of the subject ´sociology of crime´ is depicted. Through systematically analysing the websites of all public and private academic schools, an examination is carried out into how sociology of crime is currently institutionally embedded within sociology. The study shows that there is only one chair for sociology of crime located at Hamburg University. There are other institutions which carry out research or teaching on the topic. The result is debated concerning the meaning of sociology of crime in teaching and research in institutes of higher education.
