In this chapter we provide an overview of juvenile homicide in the Netherlands. We first give an overview of the incidence and background characteristics of juvenile homicide offenders in the Netherlands. We examine to what extent juvenile homicide offenders (JHOs) differ from adult homicide offenders and to what extent single juvenile offenders differ from juveniles who co-offended in terms of incidence and background characteristics. To do so, we make use of the Dutch Homicide Monitor, a nationwide monitor capturing all homicide cases in the Netherlands in the period 2000–2020. We will then present the Dutch legal framework and the dispositions with regards to homicide and discuss the reentry and recidivism of juvenile homicide offenders. We finalize this chapter with a discussion of the limitations of the data. NO Literaturverzeichnis: Seite 117-119 SN 9781032151700
