This article was carried out using a qualitative methodology, consulting primary and secondary sources. The objective was to contribute to the socio-legal analysis of the human right to clean water and sanitation from rights based approach, examining human rights principles such as equality, non-discrimination and participation as criteria that guide public policy decisions to contribute to the effective enjoyment of human rights. It is concluded that there must be a base of regulatory criteria for water and its sanitation that focus on addressing water as a social and cultural good and as a right to combat urban inequalities. | ||
| 520 | |a Los debates teóricos en torno a la naturaleza del agua y su relación con las desigualdades urbanas son analizados destacando la importancia del agua como bien social y cultural reconociendo que las personas tienen el derecho de acceder al agua limpia en zonas urbanas desfavorecidas, como es el caso de la zona norte-poniente de la ciudad de Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, donde existen desigualdades en su acceso, sanidad y saneamiento. El trabajo se realizó bajo una metodología cualitativa, consultando fuentes primas y secundarias. El objetivo fue contribuir al análisis socio-jurídico sobre el derecho humano al agua y saneamiento desde un enfoque de derechos, examinando principios de derechos humanos como igualdad, no discriminación y participación ciudadana como criterios que orienten las decisiones de política pública que contribuyan a su goce efectivo. Se concluye que se debe tener una base de criterios normativos sobre el agua y su saneamiento considerando el vital líquido como bien social-cultural y como derecho para combatir desigualdades urbanas. | ||
