In reviewing this chapter's contents, the reader should make note of the distinction between “victim” and “survivor” - the latter gaining popularity in recent years as more befitting the mindset of overcoming such experiences rather than being defined be them. With this chapter, the authors also endeavor to impress upon the reader the great importance of this subject matter considering the historic tendency to focus attention on those who commit such offenses, and consequently overlook those that have cybercrime done to them. | ||
