AB This chapter presents findings from a narrative systematic review of the literature on substance misuse and community supervision. It includes an overview of what is known about the prevalence of substance misuse needs of people under probation supervision, and the effectiveness of different approaches to substance misuse treatment in terms of engagement with treatment, retention in treatment and impact on health outcomes.
