Sumario:These data were generated from the Current Employment Statistics Survey, a joint federal-state undertaking that produces state, regional, and national statistics on employment, hours, and earnings in the United States. State agencies collect data each month from a sample of establishments involved in all nonagricultural activities, including government. Those industries that reflect significant economic activity in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands are selected for publication. All employment, hours, and earnings series are classified according to the 1987 Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes.
