Sumario:These data examine the continuities and changes between 1972 and 1981 in the careers, political participation, issue preferences, and political perspectives of the group of political activists represented by delegates to the Democratic and Republican National Conventions during that period. Questions tap respondent attitudes toward the party and its nomination process, various issues and candidates, and political ideology. Information on the respondent's past political activity and attitudes toward political participation are also included.
