| 520 | |a Background: Sexual assaults are currently a growing issue, causing severe consequences for the victims. In addition to the traumatic event itself, these victims are exposed to the risk of secondary victimization during the healthcare and legal processes. Current studies show that the existing interventions have significant deficiencies, increasing the likelihood of re victimization. Objective: The aim of this review is to research on how professionals engage with these victims and to identify the needs and deficiencies they perceive. Methodology: Nine qualitative studies were reviewed, focusing on the perception of professionals intervening with victims of sexual assaults regarding their interventions. Participants in these studies include professionals from healthcare, social services, law enforcement, and legal fields. Results: Findings indicate that professionals perceive a lack of adequate training, skills (with victims, other professionals, and self-care), standardized protocols, resources, and institutional support. They assert that these factors hinder the effectiveness of interventions and result in unfavorable outcomes.Conclusions: It is necessary to address certain unmet needs, such the limited perceived self-efficacy of some professionals in treating victims of sexual assault, reinforcing communication skills, and establishing specific protocols for specific populations (men and people from the LGBTI community). | ||
| 520 | |a Introducción: Las agresiones sexuales son en la actualidad una problemática que puede generar consecuencias muy graves en las víctimas. Además del evento traumático en sí, estas víctimas están expuestas a sufrir una victimización secundaria durante el proceso sanitario y judicial. Los estudios muestran que la intervención actual tiene bastantes carencias, aumentando así la probabilidad de revictimización. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta revisión es investigar sobre cómo es la actuación de los profesionales con estas víctimas y qué necesidades y carencias perciben que tienen. Metodología: Se revisaron 9 estudios cualitativos que tratan sobre la percepción de profesionales que intervienen con víctimas de agresiones sexuales en relación con sus intervenciones. Los participantes de estos estudios son profesionales de la salud, del orden, sociales y jurídicos. Resultados: Los resultados muestran que los profesionales perciben una falta de formación adecuada en habilidades (con las víctimas, otros profesionales y de autocuidado), protocolos estandarizados, recursos y apoyo institucional. Afirman que esto impide que las intervenciones sean efectivas y tengan efectos favorables. Conclusiones: Es necesario atender ciertas necesidades no cubiertas como la limitada autoeficacia percibida de algunos profesionales en el trato víctimas de agresión sexual, reforzar las habilidades de comunicación y establecer protocolos específicos para poblaciones concretas (hombres y personas del colectivo LGBTI). | ||
