Zusammenfassung:The aim of this concluding essay is, first, to reflect on methodological difficulties of studying the trilateral relationship between inequality, crime and punishment; and second, to offer some thoughts about how these issues might be taken up in future work. In so doing, the essay pays particular attention to the use pertinent scholarship has made thus far of the concept of neoliberalism as a lens through which to identify the politico-economic determinants of inequality and its links to crime and punishment.
