| Summary: | The lack of supply of critical and strategic minerals can pose an economic risk for certain cutting-edge industrial productions such as: renewable energies, communications, aerospace, weapons, and the maintenance and innovation of critical infrastructures, among others. The situation described is an incentive for the appearance of the black market for these stony and, therefore, for illegal mining, all of which is managed by criminal organizations. Be added that the illicit traffic of these raw materials entails labor and child exploitation, and serious environmental consequences. La falta de suministro de minerales críticos y estratégicos puede suponer un riesgo económico para ciertas producciones industriales de vanguardia como: las energías renovables, las comunicaciones, la aeroespacial, la armamentística y el mantenimiento e innovación de las infraestructuras críticas, entre otras. La situación descrita es un incentivo para la aparición del mercado negro de estos pétreos y, por ende, de la minería ilegal, todo ello, gestionado por las organizaciones criminales. Cabe añadir que el tráfico ilícito de estas materias primas conlleva inherente la explotación laboral e infantil, y graves consecuencias medioambientales. |
