Constituye un esfuerzo analítico realizado en y sobre nuestra propia experiencia de investigación, que apunta a fortalecer el carácter reflexivo del trabajo realizado. Luego de especificar lo que definimos como la perspectiva foucaultiana de la que partimos, mostramos cómo nuestro análisis incorpora herramientas conceptuales del análisis político del discurso. Para ello, planteamos las afinidades epistemológicas entre ambos planteos. Pero argumentamos por qué, en el marco de nuestras investigaciones, ha resultado útil mantener la distinción analítica entre prácticas discursivas y no-discursivas, constituyendo uno de los resguardos epistemológicos en el ejercicio de una sociología crítica del sistema penal.Proponemos una forma de pensar nuestro hacer en términos de un oficio, el oficio del sociólogo. Oficio que tiene la particularidad, para nosotras, de comprender prácticas de reflexión sobre el propio hacer, en este sentido, el artículo que aquí presentamos no es más que el ejercicio de dos investigadoras que ensayan trabajar de este modo.In this paper we reflect on the way that discourses as practices in qualitative empirical research, are taken. It constitutes an analytical effort made in and about our own researching experience, which aims to strengthen the reflexive character of the work done. After specifying what we define as a Foucaultian Perspective, from which we start, we show how our analysis incorporates conceptual tools of the political analysis of discourse. For it, we propose the epistemological affinities between both propositions. But we argue why, in the context of our investigations, it has been useful maintaining the analytical distinction between discursive and non-discursive practices, constituting one of the epistemological safeguard in the exercise of a critical sociology of the penal system. We propose a way of thinking about our doing in terms of a craft, the sociologist’s craft. A craft that has the particularity, for us, to understand the reflection practices on our own doing.
