The normative pluralism of youth socialization in the city involves young people moving from one institution to another (family, school, recreation and sport playgrounds, youth groups, etc.). In so doing, they experience the ecological continuity of the asymmetrical protocol of deference toward adults. They learn that they must obey. Mirroring this duty of compliance, transgression yields interactional powers of redefining the meaning and outcomes of the classroom: not work but enjoyment. Thus, challenging adults is a style of deviance. It draws exhilaration from volte-face, the sense of adventure and audacity. Transgression is also an existential commitment, in which school becomes a moral space for the dramaturgy of self in which to establish one’s rank in the juvenile hierarchy. | ||

Jugendliche Sozialisation im Rahmen städtischer Vergesellschaftung ist von einem normativen Pluralismus geprägt in dem Sinne, als dass sie parallel in mehrere Institutionen eingebunden sind (Familie, Schule, Jugendzentrum, Sportklub, usw.). In ihnen bleiben die Jugendliche kontinuierlich in ein asymmetrischen Regime der Ehrerbietung gegenüber der Autorität der Erwachsen eingefasst. Im Spiegel der sich daraus ergebenden Gehorsamspflicht wird die Devianz Jugendlicher zu einer interaktionistischen Macht in der Neudefinition des Sinnes und des Zweckes vom Schulwesen, da Schule nicht mehr der Arbeit sondern dem Spaß gewidmet ist. Den Erwachsenen zu trotzen, versteht sich daher einerseits als ein Devianzsstil, der in einem transgressiven Sinne auf Abgrenzung und Abenteuer zielt und andererseits als ein existentielles Engagement gelten kann, da die Schule so zum moralischen Raum einer Dramaturgie des Selbst wird, in der es darum geht, den eigenen Rang in der Jugendhierarchie festzustellen. | ||

El pluralismo normativo de la socialización juvenil en la ciudad hace que los jóvenes pasen de una institución a otra (familia, escuela, áreas de ocio y deportivas, centros juveniles, etc.). Al hacerlo, experimentan la continuidad ecológica del régimen asimétrico de deferencia hacia la autoridad de los adultos. En el reflejo de ese deber de obediencia, la transgresión juvenil adquiere un poder de interacción que permite redefinir el sentido y la vocación del aula: diversión en vez de trabajo. Por lo tanto, desafiar a los adultos es una especie de desviación. De un lado, exalta el sentido de aventura y la audacia. De otro lado, la transgresión es también un compromiso existencial. En consecuencia, el aula se convierte en un espacio moral para la dramaturgia del yo en el que se confirma el rango propio en la jerarquía juvenil. | ||

Au miroir de ce devoir d’obéissance, la transgression juvénile acquiert un pouvoir interactionnel de redéfinition du sens et de la vocation de la salle de classe : non le travail mais l’amusement. Défier les adultes se comprend alors comme un style de déviance d’une part, exaltant la volte-face, l’aventure et l’audace, et comme un engagement existentiel, l’école devenant l’espace moral d’une dramaturgie de soi où consacrer son rang dans la hiérarchie juvénile. | ||
