Evola entwickelte seine Thesen als Teil kulturpessimistischer, gegenmoderner, antidemokratischer und antiemanzipatorischer Denkrichtungen der Zwischenkriegszeit. Diese haben scheinbar unbemerkt auch den Realsozialismus überlebt und traten nach der Wende 1990 erneut stärker in Erscheinung. Sie zeichnen das Ideal einer neuen Weltordnung auf, in der das verloren geglaubte Paradies mit der Vorstellung über die arische Urharmonie gleichgesetzt wird und deren innere Mission es sei, diese wiederherzustellen. Evolas Thesen bilden heute die wichtigste Grundlage der identitär-universalistischen Position, spielen gegenwärtig als Verkehrung des menschenrechtlich-universalistischen Ansatzes der Aufklärung eine zentrale Rolle in der weit verbreiteten neurechten Politik der Regierung und anderer rechter Parteien, infiltrieren mangels einer kritischen Reflexion die Gesellschaft im Sinne der Gegenaufklärung und liefern Argumentationsmuster für die identitäre Politik Ungarns. | ||
| 520 | |a The aim of this essay is to present the influence of Julius Evola, pioneer of Italian fascism, his activities and reception in Hungary. He is a popular author in the country today. Evola developed his theses as part of cultural pessimistic, counter-modern, anti-democratic and anti-emancipatory mindsets of the interwar period. Seemingly unnoticed, these also survived real socialism and reemerged more strongly after the change in regime in 1990. They draw the ideal of a new world order, in which the paradise believed lost is equated with the idea of the Aryan primordial harmony and whose inner mission is to restore it. Evola’s theses today forms the most important basis of the identitarian-universalist position, currently plays a central role in the widespread new-right politics of the government and other new-right parties as a reversal of the human rights-universalist approach of the Enlightenment, infiltrate society in the absence of critical reflection in the sense of the Counter-Enlightenment, and provide patterns of argumentation for Hungary’s identitarian politics. | ||
