Si bien es evidente la necesidad de intervenir con las víctimas, también es importante trabajar con los hombres que ejercen cualquier tipo de violencia hacia la mujer. En este artículo se exponen los resultados de un análisis descriptivo pre-tratamiento de 16 sujetos condenados al Programa para agresores de violencia de género en medidas alternativas (PRIA-MA) en el Centro de Inserción Social “Carmela Arias y Díaz de Rábago” en A Coruña (España). La finalidad de dicho programa consiste en responsabilizar a los agresores de sus comportamientos delictivos para reducir el nivel de reincidencia y mejorar el funcionamiento psicológico de estos, desde una perspectiva de género y la terapia cognitivo-conductual con enfoque positivo. A pesar de tratar los resultados con cautela debido al tamaño de la muestra, gracias a la comparativa con el estudio de este programa de Pérez, Giménez-Salinas, y De Juan (2013) junto a la Secretaria General de Instituciones Penitenciarias, se advierten resultados interesantes respecto a las variables trabajadas del perfil sociodemográfico, criminógeno y del delito y psicológico pre-tratamiento de los participantes. | ||

Although the need to intervene with victims is evident, it is also important to work with men who exert any type of violence against women. This article presents the results of a pre-treatment descriptive analysis of 16 subjects sentenced to the Program for perpetrators of gender violence in alternative measures (PRIA-MA) at the "Carmela Arias y Díaz de Rábago" Social Insertion Center in A Coruña (Spain). The purpose of this program is to hold offenders responsible for their criminal behaviors to reduce the level of recidivism and improve their psychological functioning, from a gender perspective and cognitive-behavioral therapy with a positive approach. Despite treating the results with caution due to the size of the sample, thanks to the comparison with the study of this program by Pérez, Giménez-Salinas, and De Juan (2013) together with the General Secretary of Penitentiary Institutions, results are observed interesting with respect to the variables studied of the sociodemographic, criminogenic and pre-treatment crime and psychological profile of the participants. | ||
