Zusammenfassung:State appellate courts were created to detect and correct errors in trial court decisions and provide fair, consistent, and timely resolutions to all appeals. The Survey of State Court Criminal Appeals, 2010 (SSCCA) data were collected from a nationally representative sample of all criminal appeals disposed in all 143 state appellate courts in 2010. The data include state court criminal appeals, resolution of appeals, and time to resolution.
