RT Article T1 Homicide, Acquisitive Crime, and Inflation: A City-Level Longitudinal Analysis JF Crime & delinquency VO 69 IS 1 SP 3 OP 33 A1 Rosenfeld, Richard 1948-2024 A2 Vogel, Matt LA English YR 2023 UL https://krimdok.uni-tuebingen.de/Record/1839615303 AB Building on research by Rosenfeld et al., citylevel random coefficients panel models reveal a significant association between inflation and homicide rates that is only partially mediated by acquisitive crime. Inflation is more strongly associated with homicide rates in more disadvantaged cities. The impact of inflation on public safety should be considered when setting and evaluating economic policy. Future research should address the mechanisms, in addition to acquisitive crime, that link homicide and inflation. K1 acquisitive crime K1 Homicide K1 Inflation DO 10.1177/00111287211039994
