| Summary: | After the silence of past decades, suicide is currently a subject of great socio-political interest in advanced societies. However, the available knowledge is generally linked to other research areas, and is not very useful to the progress of victimological and criminological studies -neither in the police investigation and law studies- in the matter. This article briefly reveals the central lines of this problem to the thread of the spanish statistics Frente al silenciamiento de décadas pasadas, el suicidio es actualmente un tema de interés sociopolítico creciente en las sociedades avanzadas. Sin embargo, los conocimientos disponibles, generalmente vinculados a otras áreas investigación, ayudan poco al avance de los estudios victimológicos y criminológicos -e incluso policiales y jurídicos- en la materia. En este artículo, de forma breve, se tratan de poner de manifiesto las líneas centrales de este problema al hilo de las estadísticas españolas. |
