Die Darlegungen fußen überwiegend auf Erfahrungen und Erkenntnissen aus einer Studie, die sich mit sexueller Gewalt gegenüber Frauen befasst. | ||

Based on this observation, our article pursues two goals: firstly, to clarify the relevance of investigation file analysis for criminological research and discuss its methodological foundations and, secondly, to give well-founded recommenda-tions for the planning and conducting of file analyses. The paper focuses on the quantitatively oriented analysis of prosecutors’ investigation files. The statements are predominantly based on experiences and findings from a study examining sexual violence against women. | ||
