Die Darlegungen fußen überwiegend auf Erfahrungen und Erkenntnissen aus einer Studie, die sich mit sexueller Gewalt gegenüber Frauen befasst. | ||

Based on this observation, our article pursues two goals: firstly, to clarify the relevance of investigation file analysis for criminological research and discuss its methodological foundations and, secondly, to give well-founded recommenda-tions for the planning and conducting of file analyses. The paper focuses on the quantitatively oriented analysis of prosecutors’ investigation files.
