Zudem legt die opferzentrierte Perspektive auf die Wirtschaftsdelinquenz auch nahe, den Begriff der Wirtschaftsdelinquenz vom Leitkriterium des Vertrauensmissbrauchs her zu erschließen. | ||

It demonstrates that the dichotomy of economic crimes as “crimes without victims” as well as “victims without crimes” can be resolved. The key to such resolution is the application of a multi-level approach that distinguishes different forms of victims while taking into account the elusive nature of the victim status. The article thereby illustrates a typology of economic crime victims. Further, a victim's perspective suggests that the concept of economic crime should be mapped out, starting from the key criterion of the abuse of trust. | ||
