RT Article T1 Cold floor effects on homicide JF Journal of quantitative criminology VO 12 IS 4 SP 439 OP 444 A1 Loftin, Colin A2 Cheatwood, Derral LA English YR 1994 UL https://krimdok.uni-tuebingen.de/Record/1764276256 AB The cold floor pattern (a lack of homicides on days with extremely cold temperatures that was found by Cheatwood in Baltimore) is to be expected by chance. Under a model in which the number of homicides and the maximum temperature are independent, the probability that a day will fall below the cold floor is small. The Baltimore data do not support a model in which extremely cold weather suppresses human aggression. K1 Baltimore K1 temperature K1 Weather K1 Homicide DO 10.1007/BF02354427
