LA English YR 1984 UL https://krimdok.uni-tuebingen.de/Record/1764204107 AB While extensive study in the humanities and social sciences has been directed toward the analysis of detective fiction, a related area of popular stories has been virtually ignored. These are the stories of detective fact contained in the detective magazine. These magazines, some established in the late 1920’s, each with circulations approximating a hundred thousand each month, are an insightful source of information on popular culture.
