Sumario:This Statistical Bulletin presents the results from the AIC’s 2019-20 Fraud Against the Commonwealth census.Compared with the previous year, there were more allegations of internal fraud but fewer allegations of external fraud in 2019-20. The number of internal fraud investigations commenced was similar in 2019-20 to 2018-19, but fewer external fraud investigations commenced.The primary internal fraud target was information and the primary external fraud target was Commonwealth benefits. There were greater overall losses and lower overall recoveries observed in 2019-20
