Sumario:This article discusses the developing field of disciplinary strategies used to control and exclude immigrants from public space. The article also analyzes how these technologies of control impact the migrants' use of public space in the state of Arizona. The article notes that global strategies that operate to racialize and criminalize migrants include anti-immigration discourse, immigration law and policy creation, and surveillance tactics and policing rituals directed at migrants by federal and local law enforcement.
