Findings revealed that the South African government, through the provision of what constitutes “security service,” tries to put into perspective which activities private security companies within South Africa should undertake; operating beyond these regulations is an infraction of the act. Findings also revealed that the private security industry has benefited the South African government by creating a general atmosphere of security and income. Findings indicated that South Africa is a good example of an effective regulatory framework for the private security industry. Findings are discussed in detail. | ||
