Sumario:This article discusses community accountability and interventions in gender-based violence, focusing on the social activism program Creative Interventions (CI), which promotes alternative community-based responses to interpersonal violence. The article examines an incident of sexual assault at a Korean cultural community center in Oakland, California. Topics including the individuals' and communities' responsibilities in their response to violence and violent situations, the establishment of restorative and transformative justice systems in the U.S., and the StoryTelling and Organizing Project (STOP).
