Sumario:The article discusses the organizational aspects of the Egyptian democratic movement during the country's revolution in 2011, with information on the central role of informal networks such as social media in mobilizing its participants. Topics include the strategic issues associated with this lack of coordinating structure in the transition to democracy, the opposition of the revolutionary movement to established leadership due to its libertarian values, and the challenge posed to democratization advocates by the political organization of their rivals such as the Islamist group the Muslim Brotherhood (MB).
