AB The authors evaluated the effectiveness of continuing education training in motivational interviewing (MI) for addiction counselors. Participants reported a significant increase in counseling self-efficacy, and 87.5% reported increasing MI use in their practice. Only 3.8%, however, participated in posttraining consultation.
