AB Die bereitwillige Partizipation der „Weimarer" Kriminalpolizei an der Verfolgungspolitik des NS-Regimes läßt sich v.a. auf das innerhalb der kriminalpolizeilichen Führungsschicht kursierende „Programm" einer möglichst effizienten Verbrechensbekämpfung zurückführen. Wie der Blick auf den Alltag zeigt, befürworteten auch die Beamten an der Basis das darin vorgesehene radikale Vorgehen gegen Delinquenz und soziale Abweichung; sie stützten sich bei dessen„ Vollzug" aber eher auf die klassischen Normen des Verwaltungshandelns, verbreitete Vorurteile und obrigkeitsstaatliche Traditionen.
AB The „willing participation" of the Weimar Kriminalpolizei (criminal investigation force) in the Nazi policy against criminals and social outcasts resulted partly of the prevalence of a pro gram of crime fighting, that focused on police efficiency and favoured a radical persecution of delinquents and social deviants. A closer look at „everyday policing" in the Third Reich reveals, that the local detectives supported this pro gram, but - in doing so - proceeded with familiar administrative procedures, popular social prejudices and older traditions of the German Obrigkeitsstaat (authoritarian state).
