| Sumario: | Der Ruf zum Islam (da‘wa) umfasst eine Vielzahl von Aktivitäten und manifestiert sich in verschiedensten Kontexten.Diese Studie erforscht salafitische da‘wa in Deutschland von ihren Anfängen auf bundesweiter Ebene bis Ende 2011. Anhand einer Analyse salafitischer Texte und Vorträge sowie Feldforschung im salafitischen Milieu werden salafitische Verständnisse der da‘wa und des „authentischen Islam“, Strategien, Konzepte und Praktiken deutscher Salafiprediger sowie Stile, Inhalte und verbreitete Motive ihrer da‘wa analysiert, und aufgezeigt, welche Einflussfaktoren die verschiedenen Trends der Bewegung und ihre Rufe zum Islam in dieser Periode geprägt haben.Das Werk ermöglicht eine differenzierte Perspektive auf die heterogene deutsche Salafibewegung und demonstriert, wie Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten der Bewegung im Spannungsfeld von Dogmatismus und strategischer Flexibilität ihre da‘wa an sich verändernde sozio-politische Rahmenbedingungen und Interessen ihrer Zielgruppen adaptieren. Modern da‘wah (the “summons” or “invitation” to practise Islam) comprises a wide range of activities and manifests itself in various contexts.This study investigates Salafi da‘wah in Germany and the new social-religious movement behind it from its beginnings on a nationwide level to 2011. Based on an analysis of Salafi texts and lectures and fieldwork among Salafi lay activists, it explores Salafi definitions of da‘wah and “authentic Islam”, strategies, concepts and practices of Salafi preachers as well as recurrent motifs in their da‘wah. It also demonstrates which factors have shaped the different trends of the German Salafi movement and their calls to practise Islam during this period. The work reveals the complex and heterogeneous nature of Salafi da‘wah in Germany, and shows how Salafis – on a tightrope walk between dogmatism and strategic flexibility – constantly adapt their da‘wah to the changing sociopolitical environment, target groups and the assumed needs of da‘wah in Germany. |
