It is suggested that fear of crime' among poor people should not be seen in isolation from other insecurities which they may experience as a result of local, national, and international processes.1 Analysis based on the 1994 British Crime Survey demonstrates strong support for the view that some population groups - either because of their physical inability to defend themselves or social and economic position - may feel less safe than others |
