This stress, caused by a variety of organizational, personal, and occupational sources, results in a wide range of negative health and wellness outcomes for law enforcement officers. This study examines significant predictors of whether law enforcement officers in one state police agency would seek professional help after experiencing episodes of depression. Study results reveal factors predictive of whether officers would seek help for depression. Study results have relevant policy implications for understanding how to address a lack of law enforcement officer willingness to seek professional help for episodes of depression.
